How Did This Happen?!?!?

Where is the time going? How in the world do I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old? My little baby girls are growing up in what feels like over night.
Our wild child Shanley turned 3 on Halloween. I swore up and down that she wasn't getting a party this year and that we were just doing cake and her gifts. Well, she actually ended up having 3 different celebrations! Don't ask me how because I don't have a clue. But I guess it is fitting turning 3 with 3 different celebrations. She is always so thankful and excited with whatever she gets.  I love to hear her say "oh thank you so much" in her sweet little voice and have her wrap her skinny little arms around your neck to give you a hug. I have no doubt that she will go far in life and will overcome everything needed with her strong will, determination, smarts, wittiness, and stubbornness. Shanley is such a tough cookie (a little too tough at times) but really does have a sweet sensitive side that is starting to shine more every day. She has kept me on my toes since the day she was born and there is NEVER a dull moment with her around.
Our sweet sensitive little baby McKenzie turned 1 on the 15th but we celebrated with family and friends on the 17th. Of course just turning 1 she was pretty lost with the gifts and what all was going on. Her eyes did light up when she saw her 1st baby doll and she really enjoyed chewing on the boxes. McKenzie's personality is coming out more and more every day. She is much more sensitive, gentle, and cuddly than Shanley ever was or probably ever will be. She is my little cry baby & whiner and would be perfectly content if she could be carried on your hip all day. She loves to eat and really drags out her meals. I can't wait to see her grow and come into her own in the coming days, weeks, months, and years.
Every day with the girls there is already battles over toys, clothes, socks, cups you name it. I know it will only get worse and some days will be better than others. I wouldn't change it or them for the world. I always pictured my "grown-up" and "mommy" life with 2 kids a girl and a boy. Well, that obviously is not the case and I am totally okay with that. I can honestly say now that my family really does feel complete and I love that I have 2 little girls. I love that they will grow up having a bond and a best friend in their sister. Thanks for catching up with us and here are a few photos from Trick-or-Treating, and the girls birthdays.

Catch Up

My scrappy stuff has been packed up for awhile in prep for this move but I did come across some layouts in my iPhoto that I took pictures off awhile ago and never shared.

This first one is a photo of Shanley posing with her Shanley chalk drawing that her cousin did of her. I used the Olivia line by Basic Grey. I really love this photo and how it shows Shanley's playful side.

As the days go by and Shanley gets older everyone keeps telling me how she looks like me more and more. I don't see it very much in the looks....but I do notice it in her attitude and the things she says. I really have to watch myself or else she will be getting kicked out of kindergarten for a potty mouth. I used my Studio Calico Roller Rink subscription kit and added in a few little details from my stash.

I am blessed to have not only 1 beautiful little girl but 2!!!! They run me ragged daily and some days I hide in the closet but I love them and can't imagine my life any other way. I used Authentiques Gathering line for this and tucked a tag with a little note for them behind the photo.

Both girls have super strong and silly little personalities. One day we decided to stick McKenzie in the laundry basket and have a photo shoot. As you can see she went a little nuts and was ready to get out. I again used my Studio Calico Roller Rink kit and added details from my stash. Including a doily from the baking section at Michael's.

Just recently I have tried my hand at 8.5''x11" layouts. I am liking working on a smaller canvas and how they look. I hadn't scrapped photos of Brian and I in ages and decided it was probably finally time. I decided to switch my scrapbook subscription over to Gossamerblue and I am in LOVE with them. This layout is using their October Main Kit.

The following 2 layouts are also from the GossamerBlue October Main Kit. The first is photos of the girls and them cruising on their quad. McKenzie gets such a kick out of Shanley running them into the lawn furniture and going fast.

These are photos of the 1st time Shanley ate an apple like a BIG GIRL. Meaning she didn't have me slice it all up for her. She did pretty well taking chunks out of it and it's her new favorite way to enjoy an apple.

Well, this post was EXTREMELY long and if you made it this far I thank you for sticking with me. Hopefully this move will be settled soon and I will be able to get my scrap stuff out and start crafting again. Until then my crafty friends!

Round Two!

Hi all!!!!! I was missing the world of blogging and decided to take a second stab at this. I of course couldn't get all my old stuff back but that is okay. Starting fresh and new! Looking forward to giving you all a glimpse into my crafty life and of course my crazy world with the girls and Brian. Until later my friends.
